The rebrand of RealtyMogul was an ambitious undertaking using very limited resources. After nearly a year of discovery and design decisions made working closely with branding agency Bedlam, the RealtyMogul design and dev teams spent another year implementing the new brand site-wide. This meant putting all assets on brand while simultaneously creating a responsive web component library from scratch.
Luxurious, interesting and attractive, the hero images for the new brand convey a desirable location or lifestyle. Interesting architecture, nautical locations, and birds-eye views of estates became the staple. A slight desaturation adds to the rich feel of these images. Headlines that are confident and thought provoking, lead into subheads that are descriptive and action oriented.
Panel headlines are confident and include a benefit, goal or direction, giving way to body copy that is informative and educational. Images follow the same guidelines as heroes, while more attention is given to subtle relevancy to the topic.
Charts and graphs are clean, simple and elegant, using only the brand’s limited color palette.
Products, offerings and categories are presented as cards, which allows for easy designation, as well as addition or removal as necessary without affecting the page layout.
The thoughtful combination of the branded panels results in clean, elegant pages with a luxurious feel that accurately represents what RealtyMogul strives to be:
All designs were presented in prototype form for approvals with various stakeholders as well as a fully involved CEO. These prototypes were hosted on invison, you can see a sample of a mobile prototype here.
In addition to the website, the rebrand needed to be applied to all outgoing emails and other existing marketing material. After working closely with the Sr. Director of Marketing to establish a new template, I directed the marketing designers on proper application of the new brand and image selection, mentoring and giving direction on early drafts before receiving final sign-off from stakeholders.
