I am a builder by nature and I love problem solving. This means that whatever the challenge, I can propose a variety of solutions, always approaching from a "Design Thinking" mindset.
Empathizing with a user is not confined to Print or UX, Branding or Visual Design, or any of the other other buckets designers often get lumped into. There is user experience baked into all things, and I pride myself at considering this fundamental aspect when working on anything from a postcard to a complete website overhaul.
I am comfortable juggling a variety of fast moving projects involving print, web, motion, social, and anything else that pops up. Whether owning a project from concept to completion, or mentoring and providing direction to a team, I adapt to what is required.
My well-rounded skillset is a great fit for the needs of corporate creative services and marketing departments, and I have fostered excellent relationships with UX leads, dev departments, print producers and department heads at every company I have been a part of.
My good nature and collaborative mindset make me easy to work with but I am also a pragmatic realist. I understand deadlines and how to work efficiently, always considering the budget. I communicate regularly with stakeholders to verify my solutions are not only best for the user, but also satisfy the business needs.
Give me the specs. Give me the requirements. I will build you something great. And it won't take forever.
I'm a good teacher. Mentoring and providing direction comes easy.
I love problem solving, especially in unexpected ways.
My speed and prioritization skills allow me to easily manage multiple simultaneous projects.
My creativity thrives in social situations. I love collaboration and debate.
User experience is always at the forefront of my designs. Design thinking starts at the beginning.
No one likes a jerk. That's why I try to always be pleasant, which is easy ... because I'm a nice guy.
